Unlearn Road Running
We chase ridgelines, mud, blood, sunrise, darkness, wrong turns, ridiculous weather, and God-knows-what hits you in the dark. Unlearn the road. Run untamed.
Road running taught us structure. Trail running taught us to let go.
Unlearn Road Running is for runners who got tired of clean splits, perfect tangents, painted lines, predictable footing, and the idea that every good run needs to behave.
This is not anti-running. It is pro-chaos, pro-curiosity, pro-dirt, pro-weather, and very much in favor of discovering what happens when the route stops cooperating.
The good stuff is rarely clean.
Mud & Weather
Rain changes the trail. Heat changes the plan. Cold changes your attitude. Good. That is part of the point.
Darkness & Sunrise
Headlamps, early starts, late finishes, empty trailheads, and the strange peace of being awake before everybody else.
Wrong Turns & Stories
Sometimes the route goes sideways. Sometimes you do. The best stories usually begin right after the plan stops working.
Less performance theater. More actual experience.
Unlearn Road Running is built as a community identity before it is a product line. The name can live on shirts, hats, stickers, photos, muddy finish-line faces, group runs, trail challenges, stories, and whatever else the community turns it into.
The point is not to manufacture rebellion. The point is to recognize the culture that already exists.
Built for participation, not spectatorship.

A feral branch of the larger ecosystem.
Unlearn Road Running is a subculture of Epic Ultras, the endurance media, storytelling, education, history, and community platform founded by Eric Steele.
This property exists to give the dirtier, stranger, more untamed side of the culture its own voice.
